After eight years as a Zen monk, Caverly Morgan discovered something unexpected: nothing was missing. The freedom she'd been searching for was already here.
She is a teacher of awakening, author of The Heart of Who We Are and A Kids Book About Mindfulness, and nonprofit founder. She supports others in remembering our true nature—not through more techniques or self-improvement strategies, but through presence, inquiry, and togetherness.
Through retreats, teachings, and practices, Caverly creates spaces where we return to our inherent wholeness—the peace and belonging that doesn't depend on anything being different.
Caverly is the founder and Lead Contemplative of Peace in Schools — a nonprofit which created the nation's first for-credit mindfulness class in public high schools.
